I walked by a beautiful fountain in an area called "Paseo Bravo". This area was founded in the 17th century. It has a rich history and has been know to be a cementary and gallows in the past. Now it´s a pretty park area. The fountain has some moss and people have found a way to write things in it. Most of which, are hearts and love promises. How did they make these marks? Did they walk in the fountain, or maybe just use a long stick? Whichever way, they left a mark that captures a probable romantic moment in their lives. Have you ever left a romantic mark of your own?

The Dead Cat
Yesterday I was surprised with an out of the ordinary walk. Turns out that instead of going home. I went to the mall with some friends. So I convinced them, or shall I say they wheedled me into going out for lunch, and they agreed to walk with me. It was a nice 30 minute walk. My friend Josh led the way protecting us when we crossed the street.
We reached one of the streets, which is very busy and you have to be careful to cross it. I smelled a funky smell, but after a second it went away. Then we started crossing the street. Suddenly my foot slipped on something. I didn´t fall or anything, but my foot slipped back as I finished my step. When I turned quickly to see what made that sensation, there it was, a flat dead cat on the road. I yelled "I just stepped on a dead cat!". I couldn´t believe it. Who would this ever happen to! I ran to the other side of the street and started cleaning my sole on some plants. Then there was a strange liquid coming off my shoe, I was shouting "Look and I have residue!", but my friends pushed me back in sanity clearing up the fact that it was actually the same grass that I was crushing. They had a very good laugh and I just conitnued wondering how random what had just happened to me was. That´s what you get when you cross the street actually looking both ways!

A different route
Yesterday was my 4th walking day. I hope the time will come when I can't even count the amount of days I've walked, but today I was struck with the idea that hits me often. Do you ever find yourself thinking what life stories are behind everyone? What people have experienced or are currently experiencing. I saw a couple of ladies, about the same age and both with a cane. I thought how sweet. I wondered if they were sisters or lifelong friends. But I think this picture represents the importance of being there for who you love. Supporting them and loving them. I also saw a really pretty old house on 13 pte. See you next walk! I have a whole list of subjects to talk about! So keep reading!

Start walking!
Let´s become more active! That´s what legs are made for. I had stopped using them for a few years but have decided that I need to move more and become more active. I started noticing little spider veins in my legs and I hadn´t exercised in a while. So a couple of days ago, I started walking home from work. It takes me precisely an hour to get home. I live in Puebla, Mexico and while I have been walking, I have noticed so many little things I could share from my one hour a day experience. The street I take is a pretty urban place and as I get closer home things start looking more colonial. It´s a great moment to reflect and work up a sweat. So here we go. You are invited to walk with me for an hour a day and on the way share some of my thoughts, and random things I see!
